Skjør Biography
SKJØR (pronounced 'sure') were named in Vic Galloway's Top 25 Scottish Bands to Watch in 2017 for BBC Radio Scotland. The Edinburgh-based indie dream pop band released their debut single 'Self Control' on the 25th November 2016. It was made track of the week on BBC Radio Scotland's Culture Show with Janice Forsyth and the video, filmed by David P Scott was premiered by The Skinny.
SKJØR followed in the footsteps of artists like Be Charlotte and KLOE by being selected for Hit the Road touring project in the summer of 2016. The band appeared at the Hidden Door festival and have supported touring artists such as Paper Kites, Lanterns on the Lake, Teleman, Laurel, Stevie Parker and Lisbon. 2017 saw the band play at King Tut's New Year Revolution. SKJØR are due to play a BBC Introducing Live Session on BBC Radio Scotland in May, followed by appearances at Scottish Music Festivals including Northern Roots Festival. Rod Jones of Idlewild is currently producing their second single Living Without You which is due to be released in the Autumn of 2017.
