About this concert
Legendary guitarists Joe Satriani, John Petrucci of Dream Theater and Phil Collen of Def Leppard have joined forces once again for G3 2018, the continuation of their successful tour. Expect to hear plenty of crunchy riffs, mega-solos and some new sounds as these guitar greats take their performances to the next level at the Mesa Arts Center.

G3 Biography
G3 is an almost annual live music show and concert tour featuring three select guitarists of the generation; hence its name. It was created by guitarists Joe Satriani and Steve Vai in 1996. Since its inception G3 has featured many guitarists including: Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Robert Fripp, Eric Johnson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker, Adrian Legg, Paul Gilbert and many other special guests, including Steve Lukather, Steve Morse and drummer Mike Portnoy.
There are three official live releases of G3:
Live in Concert (1996)
Live In Denver (2003)
Live in Tokyo (2005)

The 2007 G3 tour line-up lacked Steve Vai (because of his own solo World Tour), and instead consisted of Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, and John Petrucci.
G3 is also the name of an, already disbanded, Peruvian hardcore punk band.
