Eeco Rijken Rapp

Eeco Rijken Rapp is a Dutch pianist, vocalist, and educator specializing in boogie-woogie, blues, swing, and jazz. A full-time touring musician for nearly two decades, he has performed at concert halls, festivals, clubs, and theaters throughout Europe and the United States, earning a reputation for energetic performances rooted in the great traditions of blues and jazz piano.

Having studied with renowned Dutch jazz pianist Rob Agerbeek, Eeco has shared the stage with artists including Little Willie Littlefield, Axel Zwingenberger, Paul Kuhn, Nicki Parrott, Lila Ammons, Frank Muschalle, Chris Hopkins, and many others.

As pianist and vocalist with Boogielicious and leader of the Eeco Swing & Boogie Express, he draws inspiration from masters such as Albert Ammons, Count Basie, Ray Bryant, and Monty Alexander, while bringing his own improvisational voice, rhythmic drive, and sense of swing to the music.

Alongside performing, teaching has become an essential part of his work. Eeco was among the early musicians to bring boogie-woogie piano performances and tutorials to YouTube, where he has been sharing his music since 2006. Through his online lessons, he reaches pianists around the world with practical techniques, musical ideas, performance experience, and an emphasis on developing the freedom to improvise.

At the heart of everything he does is a simple goal: to inspire people to sit down at the piano, enjoy the process of making music, and keep the spirit of blues, boogie-woogie, and swing alive — one note at a time.
