Gem State is The Idahoan’s monthly residency on FRISKY, built around the deeper edges of progressive electronic music. Across two hours, the show moves through progressive house, electronica, progressive breaks, deep and melodic house, and underground techno. The emphasis is on patience and progression—music given enough room to develop, shift direction, and find connections across genres without forcing the journey. Rooted in The Idahoan’s approach to long-form DJing, Gem State reflects both where his sound comes from and where it continues to move. Some editions will remain entirely his own; others will open the space to guest artists whose work shares a similar sense of depth, curiosity, and intention.
