JIM is the solo project of James Baron, best known for his work with Crazy P and under his Ron Basejam alias. Blending Balearic influences, folk, soul and electronic production, JIM explores a more personal, songwriting-led side of his musical world.

His debut album, *Love Makes Magic* (2023), received widespread acclaim, topping Bill Brewster’s Furtive 50 Albums of the Year and leading to live shows and festival appearances, including We Out Here.

His second album, *The Curious Case of Existence*, was released on 18 September 2026 via Vicious Charm Recordings. Building on the foundations of his debut, the record brings together rich instrumentation, contemporary production and collaborations with Jason Williamson (Sleaford Mods), Edie Baron and musicians from the Nottingham music scene.

Featuring the singles ‘Love Over Gold’ and ‘Keeps Me Warm’, the album explores love, loss and human connection, including a heartfelt tribute to his late Crazy P bandmate Danielle Moore.
