Ellece

Ellece opens doors with her accessible and reflective pop sound. Inspired by artists like James Bay, Maren Morris & Ilse DeLange, this 22-year-old singer & songwriter translates life experiences into music, serving as an inspiration for self-reflection and resilience.

At the age of 12 Ellece, also known as Emily van Elleswijk, began writing songs. Her talent was recognized by Kunstbende, a national competition for young talent. At the age of 14 she won the 1st prize in Music for the province of Noord Brabant. This achievement led her to the national final held at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam.
After this amazing experience, she started writing more and more to improve her songwriting skills as much as possible. In 2020 she got accepted to study at the Rockacademie in Tilburg.

During her study she formed a 5-member band, creating an energetic ensemble. Together they skillfully blend influences from pop, rock, and Americana music, conveying a perfect emotional interpretation. In March 2024 Ellece participated during the PopCollegeTour, a collaborative initiative between 6 conservatories in the Netherlands. Where Ellece played at 6 venues within 1 week. Including venues like Poppodium 013, Metropool, Patronaat & Q- Factory.

Ellece will release her debut EP titled 'Unsteady' in February of 2025. This EP comprises 5 songs reflecting on the past and looking forward into the future. Transitioning from youthful carefreeness to adult realism. Above all it emphasizes acceptance of past experiences and learning to accept oneself.
