About this concert
This year I've decided to perform each Arrogant Worms album, all by myself, in order. I'll also be talking about how the album came about, songs from the studio, and anything else my aging brain might remember. You'll be welcome to ask questions in the chat as we go along, and I might even bring in some documents!
This is album number four, Live Bait, which was our first all live album. Unlike most bands that just do their hits on a live album, we released 5 new songs, including Canada's Really Big and Me Like Hockey. We recorded this album at multiple shows and used studio magic to make it sound like one. I was on the fence about performing this album on Zoom since some of the songs are repeats, but I decided to do it anyway since it really was a big deal for us. Our music distributor at the time told us that live albums didn't sell very well. Of course this became our best selling album.
This show is pay-what-you-want, with a $5 minimum. I want as many folks to come as possible, but if you can pay more, I really appreciate it.

Venue was nice, very comfy chairs. The atmosphere was very good, a lot of crowd participation. The show was solid, playing a large variety of songs, mixing in some humour, even a mini-rant. Their new songs were quite good and mixed in some solid favourites.

The Arrogant Worms Biography
Purveyors of musical mayhem.
The Arrogant Worms have spent over three decades making fun of a big dumb world. Their songs have been played on the radio, the internet, and in outer space (on the space shuttle Endeavour). The Worms began at Queen’s University in 1991 when some members of the student cabaret group, The Queen’s Players, started writing songs and sketches for the campus radio station CFRC. Soon the group became The Arrogant Worms (Chris Patterson, Mike McCormick, and Trevor Strong) who have since toured ceaselessly across Canada (and select other parts of the world), released 13 albums, and recorded with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Their song, The Last Saskatchewan Pirate, has been covered by bands such as Captain Tractor and The Longest Johns, and their Happy Happy Birthday song is a viral sensation with over one hundred million views of the various fan videos on YouTube. More than thirty years after they began, The Arrogant Worms continue to provide tuneful and silly escapism for everyone who needs it.
