Arrlo

Arrlo is a Las Vegas-based gritty pop-rock band that has risen to prominence with their poignant lyrics, infectious instrumentals, and bold, unique messaging. Sunni Suede, who spearheads the project as frontman and singer/songwriter, breathes new life into subjects like love, loss, and heartache through the fresh lens of a pragmatic yet passionate transman, a perspective that is desperately needed in music.

Backing Sunni is Alexander Vera on bass and guitar with Anthony Braun on drums, each contributing live instrumentals over pop backing tracks, creating a distinct vibe of 90’s nostalgia with a modern edge. This groundbreaking sound has curated a passionate, dedicated fanbase. With this platform, Arrlo has successfully played at Life is Beautiful 2022, one of the country’s largest music festivals, as well as coordinating with Black Sheep Booking to host their own community-focused music festival and food drive which went on to have over 650 attendees.

Through all of this, Arrlo has remained focused on the messaging and purpose of their music. Arrlo uses pop music’s accessibility to navigate the nuance and shades of grey that muddle up life, guiding the listener through universal ups and downs, and reminding them to approach every idea with a compassionate ear. With this rational mindset, the band also aims to bring a more approachable narrative to the discussion of trans issues, in the hopes of changing it from an unnecessarily hot topic to a roundtable conversation of respect.
