Midnight Rubies

Midnight Rubies began on a dare under questionable circumstances which eventually included a clown and a dark warehouse. That one night of brazen adventure led to years of songs and friendship. Together they blend storytelling, vulnerability, and grit into a deep love of country music.

Midnight Rubies plays almost entirely original music, leading with a commitment to emotional storytelling. Common themes are often focused around strong women and new beginnings, hard stories and perseverance. Musically the group has diverse backgrounds that influence the sound between traditional country, rock, jazz, folk, and a few other tangents for good measure. For these reasons they are most commonly claiming the genres of Americana or Alt-Country. Folk songs with a driving rhythm that makes you want to put on your boots and give someone a piece of your mind, or maybe cry your heart out.
