MÍO Biography
MÍO has been recognised as one of the Norwegian underground's biggest live experiences. With their energetic and entrancing shows, and a front vocalist that seizes the listener and refuses to let go – MÍO has convinced audiences on stages and festivals throughout the country!
The band has created a unique take on folk rock - which they themselves like to call "Folk 'n' Roll". A rich inspiration from Norwegian folk music, 70s prog and Norwegian rock and punk gives MÍO room to experiment. A fuzzed up fiddle is combined with poweful and varied vocals and a large arsenal of folk instruments, a jazz inspired rhythm section, melodic bass and expressive guitar.
