About this concert
Songs zwischen Traum und Wirklichkeit, zwischen Intimität und Entfremdung, zwischen grauen Bergarbeiterstädten und einer Gesellschaft fett von digitalen Kohlenhydraten. Aus den solistischen Anfängen von Bassist und Sänger Johannes Rest heraus hat sich Digital Carbs zum Geheimtipp der Münchner Alt-Rock-Szene entwickelt. Nach ihrer letzten Veröffentlichung “Conform Deform” ließ die Band keine Zeit verstreichen und begann direkt mit der Produktion einer Folge-EP. Klanglich präsentiert sich die Truppe auf ihrem neuen Werk dynamischer denn je: Von düster-schöner Akustik-Ballade bis hin zu manischtreibendem Gitarrengewitter machen die Musiker vor nichts halt. Ihre neue Single “Telescope” ist Letzteres, ein explosives Statement zur Zerstörung unseres Planeten. Die Band zeichnet ein dystopisches Weltbild, in der Profit und Maschine mehr wert sind als das Wohl des Einzelnen - “My machines, they eat love”. Digital Carbs beweisen erneut ihre Vielseitigkeit und ihre Fähigkeit, tiefe Emotionen in mitreißende Musik zu verwandeln. Ihre neue EP erscheint am 13. September 2024.

Digital Carbs Biography
Between dream and reality, between intimacy and alienation, between gray mining towns and a society fat on digital carbs. Digital Carbs are a rock band from Munich, Germany that fuses elements of psychedelic, indie and progressive rock to create their unique sound.
Following their latest release, “Conform Deform”, the band wasted no time and immediately began producing their follow-up EP. Sound-wise, the group presents itself more dynamic than ever on their new work: from dark and beautiful acoustic ballads to manic-driving guitar storms, the musicians don’t hold back. Their new single "Telescope" is the latter, an explosive statement about the destruction of our planet. The band paints a dystopian world where profit and machine are valued more than the well-being of the individual - “My machines, they eat love”. Digital Carbs once again prove their versatility and their ability to transform deep emotions into compelling music.
