Very excited to welcome legendary Texas troubadour Robert Earl Keen back to The Ramkat on June 8, 2024, with special guest Joelton Mayfield! Doors at 7 PM, show at 8 PM.

Our newest release, WESTERN CHILL, is a groundbreaking, new content making, record celebrating, the vast vibe of our American west. Don’t let the lofty language fool you. It’s an easy listen that reflects what is purports to be…WESTERN CHILL.
We’re spreading the word with a small blast of shows and select cuts from WESTERN CHILL then rushing headlong into something we’ve never attempted.
We’ll be performing 1998’s PICNIC and 2003’s FARM FRESH ONIONS front to back in their entirety. To keep it lively, we’ll alternate each record (e.g., PICNIC one night and FFO the next).

This is my 10th time seeing since 1989. And I have to say I really appreciate his craftsmanship to his lyrics and to his band. The chemistry was true and his voice has not wavered with time.
We brought friends so please add two ppl to the list of REK fans!
For the “final” tour he did not disappoint!

Robert Earl Keen Biography
Singer, songwriter, and entertainer, Robert Earl Keen, has recorded 19 albums and performed thousands of shows. His music ranges from country to bluegrass to rock and his songs have been recorded by artists including George Strait, Lyle Lovett, Joe Ely, Montgomery Gentry, Dixie Chicks, The Highwaymen, Gillian Welch, Todd Snider, and Shawn Colvin. In 2012, he was inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame along with his college friend, Lyle Lovett and the late Townes Van Zandt. In March 2015, BMI honored him as the first recipient of the Troubadour Award. Keen’s philanthropic and charity work led him to be presented with the Distinguished Alumni award from Texas A&M University in the fall of 2018. The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame inducted Robert Earl Keen into their 2019 class with the receipt of their Spirit of Texas Award.
