Jordie Lane Jordie Lane Folk Born to a comedian and a clown, Nashville based Australian Indie-Roots artist, composer and producer, Jordie Lane spent his early years in a traveling circus. As a recording artist, Lane has toured with many of the world’s legendary songwriters and bands, including Billy Bragg, The Moody Blues, Gotye, and Old Crow Medicine Show, to name a few, along with appearances at festivals around the world including West Coast Blues & Roots, Port Fairy, Queenscliff and Woodford in Australia, along with Philadelphia, Sisters, Calgary and Winnipeg Folk Festivals in North America. A guest on Australian TV shows, ‘Spicks & Specks’ and ‘Rock Wiz’ singing a duet with Grammy Winning US artist Mary Gauthier, Jordie was also invited to perform Triple J Radio’s coveted ‘Like A Version’ with fellow Australian & Milk Records artist Jen Cloher, playing MGMT’s hit ‘Electric Feel’. In what is a staggering 16th release for Jordie Lane, The Empty House Tapes Vol. 1 & 2 (out March 10, 2023) are the first collection of brand new songs released by Lane since his ‘Lost’ EP in 2019, which featured legendary American drummer Jim Keltner (Joe Cocker, John Lennon, Bob Dylan) and saw his track, ‘The Walls’ receive regular rotation airplay on Australia’s Double J network, along with love from editorial playlists on Spotify and Amazon. His acclaimed 2018 album ‘Glassellland’ won a slew of praise and awards including named Double J ‘Album Of The Week’, nominated for The Age Music Victoria Awards, and winning ‘Tower Of Song Of The Year’. Known for his creative applications of makeshift spaces to create stunning records, such as his groundbreaking 2011 album, Blood Thinner, made in a desert motel in Joshua Tree, California with little more than a Cassette recorder, to his critically acclaimed Glassellland, which was also self recorded in a series of Air Bnb’s across Los Angeles, it only seems fitting that Jordie has found himself again being led by the experience to set the tone and vibe and become the essence of what sets Lane apart from many of his Folk/Americana counterparts. Jordie's songs have appeared in TV shows, Packed To The Rafters(Aus), Kingdom(US), and Sue Brook’s (Japanese Story) feature film, Looking For Grace, along with the Stan Original, ‘Christmas Ransom’ Jordie’s craft for songwriting and love for the art of screen eventually intersected in 2018 when he composed the original score for Australian Documentary Spirit Walker - Clinton’s Walk For Justice (SBS). In May 2019, Jordie released a collaborative single, 'For Everyone' with Indigenous singer Yirrmal, written specifically as the end credits song for the documentary 'The Spirit Walker’. The song went on to be picked up for national playlisting on ABC and Double J networks, along with Spotify's 'Fresh Folk' Playlist. It also went on to be nominated for 'best song' at the National Indigenous Music Awards alongside, Briggs and Mojo Juju. In late 2019 Jordie composed his second Original Score for film, with the American Indi-short Golden Toad, directed by Academy Award short-listed, Masanori Baba slated for 2020 release. In 2023, Jordie Lane alongside collaborator Clare Reynolds were hired to compose and produce the entire musical score along with multiple songs for the reboot of Australia’s most popular comedy series, ‘Mother and Son’. An 8-episode season, which garnered fantastic reviews, and ratings in the top 10 most watched shows on television multiple weeks in a row. Brit Taylor Brit Taylor Music Brit Taylor is a “what-you-see-is-what-you-get-kinda” gal. Whether you get to know her in person or through her music, you quickly learn that the country singer/songwriter, born and raised in eastern Kentucky’s Appalachian Mountains, embraces the traits of her home – family, faith and community – while expressing her independence with a sense of beauty, honor and humor. Today, she is devoted to artistic integrity, making music that matters, making music that has merit, making music that would make her Appalachian ancestors proud. With three albums, a Grand Ole Opry debut and coast-to-coast touring under her belt, Brit has found her inner self and uses it as a guiding star for how she lives, how she writes and how she sings. What started out seemingly easy didn’t stay that way. Born in tiny Hindman, Kentucky, she grew up with parents who challenged her to do the best she could do and be the best she could be and always do both with integrity. She debuted on the Kentucky Opry when she was 7 years old, belting out country solos on that stage until she turned 17. With her high school diploma in hand and her beloved bulldog, Ali, in the back seat, she headed for Nashville to chase her life-long dream. Four years later – now with a college degree in hand, an internship turned into a real publishing deal, and a small band of her own – the dream seemed real. She listened to the industry pros, she worked hard, she believed. Until it all came crashing down. A marriage gone bad, industry execs urging the traditionalist to become more “commercial” and the death of her canine buddy all led Brit to realize that, in chasing the dream, she had lost the most important thing – herself. With the perseverance and strength that comes from generations of Appalachian ancestors, she put a pause on her life. She cried, she moped, she shook it off and looked deep into herself, emerging with a new confidence and a new direction, resolved to making music that she believes in, that she can love, that she can be proud of. It was a turning point for Brit, who was determined to hold true to herself and her traditional sound. Her debut album, Real Me, was born. An independent album – she started her own cleaning company to finance it – it is 10 original, self-reflective songs that explore her journey from depression to self-awareness. With traditional influences including Bobby Gentry vibes, Loretta Lynn honky-tonk, Waylon and Willie waltzes, western swing and heart-tugging vocals, Real Me was released on the record label Brit created – Cut a Shine Records, and greeted with critical acclaim from peers and fans. And she found that a life headed in the right direction is a life to enjoy. Her sophomore album, Kentucky Blue, produced by famed Grammy winners David Ferguson and Sturgill Simpson, reflects that true Brit. Combining the edgier sound of honky-tonk instrumentation – piano and fiddle with electric slide guitars, steel guitars and full on string sections, Kentucky Blue is cohesive while having a little bit of something for everyone. It is Kentucky meets LA with a stop in Texas along the way, never losing that tinge of Appalachia tradition that Brit loves. Fans and critics loved it. The Grand Ole Opry invited her to debut, and she toured from Maine to San Diego, Key West to Seattle. Kentucky Bluegrassed, released in February 2024, is the latest step in Brit’s musical journey. The album of eight original songs, five re-imagined from Kentucky Blue and three original songs, is a homecoming of sorts for Brit, who discovered country music as a toddler by listening to bluegrass on an old 8-track player with her Papaw. She grew to love mountain strings and always knew she would make a bluegrass album. The album – classic bluegrass with a stellar group of pickers – gives Brit an opportunity to share her music with people who aren’t as likely to listen to mainstream country. Her ultimate goal is always for her music to “speak” to people in a meaningful way that brings them happiness, comfort, laughter, or whatever they might need. Re-interpreting five songs and introducing three new ones with a classic bluegrass sound extends her reach – and her heritage – in a positive way to a new group of listeners. Determined to inhabit the highest pinnacle of artistic integrity, Brit Taylor’ achievements come today because she is always building on her strengths – authenticity, honesty and delivering songs that offer a modern lyrical perspective on real-life living and loving with her powerful, expressive alto. Abigayle Kompst Abigayle Kompst Folk Indie-folker Abigayle Kompst is writing songs that blend the melodic richness of folk pioneers with honest, intimate lyrics found in today's confessional songwriter scene. Hailing from the city of neon lights, she found her artistic home in Nashville after leaving the glamour of Las Vegas behind. Abigayle’s songs have been recorded by Nashville artists such as Kate Yeager, Chloe Collins, Molly Frances, and more. An artist in her own right, she released her debut album “Vegas” in 2022. Her latest release, titled “Recovering Optimist” is out now. Co-produced with Chris Donlin, this is a new sound you won’t want to miss!

With a career now spanning 15 years, 9 releases under his belt, named in Melbourne Magazine’s 100 most influential people, and nominated for Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s ‘Barry Award’, winning Double J’s Radio ‘Tower of Song’, Jordie Lane is widely regarded as one of Australia’s finest singer-songwriters and live performers.

Born to a comedian & a clown, Lane spent his early years in a traveling circus. His nomadic touring lifestyle and knack for comedic storytelling confirm the theory one is a product of their upbringing, but when you watch Jordie perform live it is his incredible voice and unique rhythmic guitar playing that seem like they come from another place and another time.

It is a voice that has taken him around the world, performing major festivals in the US, Canada, UK and Australia, and touring with the likes of international legends, Gotye, Billy Bragg, Old Crow Medicine Show, Neko Case, Cat Power, The Weakerthans, Ruthie Foster, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and The Moody Blues.



The much loved Australian indie roots artist, who recently moved from Melbourne to LA to Nashville, is malleable and resilient despite the torrent of changes that have come his way. His last album release, GLASSELLLAND, was released worldwide in September 2018.

Pronounced Glas-Sell-Land, the album was praised by the Australian press across the board with 4 star reviews in The Music, Rolling Stone, Herald Sun and named ‘Double J Album Of The Week’, Lane’s song ‘Black Diamond’ was also awarded ‘Tower Of Song Of The Year’ on Double J Radio and came 24th in their top 50 Albums.
With Top 10 success on the Roots Music Report Chart and cracking the top 100 on the AMA/CDX Americana Chart. Lane has also previously been added to high rotation on Sirius XM Radio’s ‘The Coffeehouse Channel.

He has appeared on Paste Magazine's Daytrotter sessions, The prestigious NPR Radio’s ‘Mountain Stage’ and ‘Folk Alley’. Lane has played many of the worlds top festivals including, Americana Music Fest, Sisters Folk Fest, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Winnipeg Folk Fest, Calgary Music Festival and Edmonton Folk Festival, Celtic Connections (Scotland), Falls Fest, West Coast Blues & Roots (Aus) Woodford Folk Festival (Aus).

Glassellland has a kaleidoscopic quality that extends Lane’s musical scope and range of vocal expression.
There’s a psychedelic Beatles’ Sgt Pepper feel in the alternating rhythm and tempo changes of In Dreams of War; a kind of Fab Four meet Chris Isaak ambience in the arrangement of the equally expansive America, Won’t You Make My Dreams Come True, a vocal duet with his collaborator. Stripped back to acoustic guitar and harmonica, Lane’s closer to 1960s Dylan in Better Not Go Outside and Time Just Flew, spitting out lines such as “try not to obsess over symmetry / accept that death is history” and “I wake when the day is done / I do my living without the sun” with laissez-faire attitude. There are shades of Neil Young in the folk-rockers Black Diamond and Frederick Steele McNeil Ferguson. In the latter, Lane’s gruff singing and grungy electric guitar riffs intensify a song about guilt and a grandfather who “killed a man in World War I”. In Dreamin’ the Life, the dynamics and opening gambit are reminiscent of Jeff Lang: “Thornbury tram to a London tube”.
