Bend Ecstatic Dance is brilliantly enthralled to help bring the world renowned Yemanjo to DownTown Bend for an exceptional and unique, no shoes and no booze experience inside our historical Boys and Girls Club venue. Home to Bend Ecstatic Dance's weekly events.

Ages 12+
Yemanjo is a project of producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Ben Harris. Raised in the rich culture of California’s Bay Area, Harris’ work is influenced by the global music styles he has encountered through extensive world travels.
Yemanjo’s sound is a unique fusion of downtempo and organic house beats with traditional sounds from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. The previous five years have seen Yemanjo touring the globe while releasing prolifically with top labels in the genre such as Cosmic Awakenings and Cafe de Anatolia. 2024 saw the release of “La Misma Fuente”, an acclaimed full length album on NYC-based imprint Wonderwheel Recordings.
In performance, Yemanjo combines his original music with live singing in many languages, trumpet, percussion and other instruments in an electro-acoustic hybrid DJ/live set.

Yemanjo Biography
A native of the culturally and musically rich Bay Area, Ben Harris became enamored of the music of Latin America and Africa at a young age. Now an internationally touring DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Yemanjo has amassed a prolific body of work on respected labels in the organic/global house genre including Cafe de Anatolia, Cosmic Awakenings and Wonderheel Recordings.
“La Misma Fuente” (Wonderwheel Recordings) is his first full length album in many years and with it Yemanjo joins the ranks of some of the finest producers in the global music scene including El Buho, Chancha Via Circuito and Thornato.
Translating as "The Same Source", the staggering variety of genre, sound design and featured artists on “La Misma Fuente” all relate to the concept that the world's diversity manifests out of an essential unity.
With guest singers and musicians from Mali, Colombia, Argentina, Hungary and beyond, the whole album pulsates with an irresistible combination of cracking electronic beats, hypnotic synths and bass, traditional acoustic instruments and vocals in many languages.
Thematically diverse, melodically complex and rhythmically compelling, "La Misma Fuente" is a testament to the relentless wanderlust of its author, and a fine addition to the already legendary catalogue of Wonderwheel Recordings.
