ISHA is een 23-jarige producer, artiest en multi-instrumentalist die haar tijd verdeelt tussen de levendige steden Amsterdam en Londen. Naarm/Melbourne-based Close Counters‘ diverse soundscape ligt op het kruispunt van house, neo-soul, broken beat en disco. - ENGLISH Australian electronic duo Close Counters and Dutch producer and bass-player ISHA team up for a co-headline tour across the UK and the Netherlands this summer. In June this year, the two artists will play a handful of European dates together in Amsterdam, Groningen, London and Brighton. The mini-tour will be an opportunity for both acts to showcase their electronic and fresh funk beats, live rare-groove appeal and strong bass lines. With Close Counters playing their diverse soundscape at the crossroads of house, neo-soul, broken beat and disco in their live set, the duo will be playing songs from their 2023 album ‘SOULACOASTA II’, which garnered tastemaker support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Folamour, Clash Mag and took out ‘Best Electronic Work’ at the Australian Music Victoria Awards in 2023. Dutch producer ISHA put out her debut EP ‘Bending Colours’ back in 2023 and received support from BBC 1 Xtra, Jamz Supernova and Foundation FM amongst others. With her one woman solo live-set ISHA played stages like London Jazz Festival, Eurosonic Noorderslag, Bird and Paradiso while also supporting established names in the scene like Franc Moody, Adi Oasis and Young Franco. Touring with the Australian musicians Close Counters highlights the essence of ISHA’s upcoming EP release this summer; showcasing the musical connections the producer made with different creative tastemakers in the past year.
