Crow Baby (ZA, DE, US) Biography
The Berlin based duo, Crow Baby, is the love child of Cherilyn MacNeil and Jean-Louise Parker,
both born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, and each a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with her own projects.
In 2020 they reunited in Berlin and started a standing Friday afternoon playdate as a respite during the Covid lock down.
The result is a fearsome and wholly original Art Pop band - "with a punk spirit!" - which pairs a mischievous, upbeat sound with delightfully wry lyrics: a cheerleader with a mean, messy streak.
In November 2021, with funding from Initiative Musik, we went into studio to record our debut album.
Get Yourself Together comes out on Duchess Box Records in Fall 2024.
