About this concert
Spread out the picnic, soak up the warmth of the summer sun over Narragansett Bay, and enjoy a variety of musical performances by local musicians. Wednesday nights at Blithewold are the perfect way to enjoy summer with friends and family! Guests are encouraged to bring picnic dinners and chairs or blankets. We have 33 acres of gardens and grounds, including a 10-acre lawn, where you can enjoy the music and gorgeous views over the bay. Preregistration is required! Walk-ins will not be accepted. The day before the concert you will receive a printout. Please print it and place it in the windshield of your car. It will be checked in when you arrive. Rain dates for some concerts.

The Sunshine Melodies Biography
The Sunshine Melodies use reggae music as a platform to bring sunshine and positive vibes to their audience. Their original music pays homage to early Jamaican reggae and rocksteady while dipping into dub style and occasionally ska. Their songs often lay the groundwork for "versions" in which multiple songwriters contribute to a single backing riddim. The band features veterans of the New England music scene who have recorded with Dr. Ring Ding, Adam "Flymo" Birch (Specials/Toasters), Agent Jay (Slackers), Vinny Nobile (Bim Skala Bim/Pilfers/Cenzo), The Ska-Jazz Messengers, and more. We look forward to bringing you more music, and hope to see you at a live performance in a venues, at an event, or at your private parties!
