Cody J. Martin Biography
With the release of his debut album "Somewhere You'd Rather Be" in 2014, Cody J. Martin arrived on Northeast Ohio's music scene a songwriter well beyond his age.
At 25, Martin preaches his songs all across his home state. Captivating audiences with his vigorous finger-picking style and rough-cut holler of a voice.
It is with these inherent attributes that Martin has found his way. A self-taught guitar player since the age of 12, Martin only began singing after failing to connect with vocalists in early high school bands.
But now, Martin is alone. Performing music that rests at the intersection where folk, blues and country meet. Writing songs that pull beauty from the morbid, humor from the depressing and hope from the meaningless.
Cody J. Martin is a singer/songwriter from Massillon, OH. He is currently recording the follow up album to "Somewhere You'd Rather Be."
