About this concert
Acclaimed French chanteuse Noria Letts brings the verve, swing and excitement of a Parisian nightclub every time she hits the stage. Totally authentic, with a rich soulful voice Noria has performed in clubs across France, Switzerland, Canada and New York and is now based in Melbourne.
With her band the Parisians, Noria reworks classics from the likes of Piaf & Brel, through the 60’s “Ye Ye” hits and some rare modern gems into a contemporary manouche vibe.
It's a vibrant and fun trip to “la Ville des Lumières” without the jetlag, showcasing the passion, vitality and style of one of the great epochs of modern music.
The Parisians feature a brilliant line up of Roderic White (piano), Dave Evans (accordion), Tom Flenady (bass) and Phil Collings (drums).
Noria headed the bill at Australia’s premier gypsy jazz festival OzManouche in Brisbane as well as Melbourne’s Bastille Day Festival last year. She was also honoured to sing La Marseillaise for a global TV audience and capacity crowd at Marvel Stadium before the recent Matildas v France women’s football international.
"Absolutely authentic ... A voice like Cognac." Hannie Rayson - The Age
