About the bands:
Groucho Pepe comes from the minds and hearts of Arthur Hill and Sharilyn Anderson, accompanied by good pals and keen collaborators Liam Cole and Cecily Taylor. Both gentle and robust, Groucho Pepe invites you to shed inhibitions and get lost in their melodic and catchy expressions of tenderness, catharsis, nostalgia and revelry. The perfect soundtrack for a mellow night. https://grouchopepe.bandcamp.com/
Folk-rock collective Princess Towers take their name from a 1970s apartment building widely considered to be Kingston’s biggest eyesore. Like their namesake, their sound combines familiar forms and daring design choices, fantastic visions and bug-infested realities. Since 2021, the shape-shifting collective has released an album and an EP, and toured to both coasts. https://princesstowers.bandcamp.com/
Funeral Lakes is a moody indie rock group based out of Kingston, Ontario. With a driving rhythm section, swirling guitar and synth, and dual lead vocals, their unique sound is both haunting and energetic, blending elements of post-punk and shoegaze. After a series of well received releases, Funeral Lakes has found regular rotation on campus and community radio across Canada. This year marks the release of their sophomore album “North American Martyrs” – a reflective record that seeks to unravel myth and memory in the past and present. https://funerallakes.bandcamp.com
