OliveTreeDance é hoje considerada como uma das mais promissoras bandas da actualidade, à parte do cenário rock ou da pop music. A sua originalidade em palco é manifestamente reconhecida, pelo que os OliveTreeDance têm vindo a conquistar um público cada vez mais abrangente de norte a sul do país, integrando eventos de primeira linha do panorama “World/Roots Music” de que são exemplos mais figurativos: Festival Andanças (2004 a 2009), Festival Etnias Porto (2005 e 2008), Festival Islâmico de Mértola (2006), Festival Tribal (2007 e 2008), Festival Med em Loulé (2007), Festival Portugal a Rufar (2008), Festival dos Oceanos (2008), Festival Chocalhos (2008/9), Festival Ecos da Terra (2009), Festival 7 Luas 7 Sóis (2009), Boom Festival (2006) e Freedom Festival, ou ainda os mediáticos Sudoeste TMN (2006 e 2009) e Optimus Alive’09, mas não só; o carisma dos seus espectáculos levou este trio originário do Porto a países tão diversos e distantes como: - Índia em 2007 e também em Abril de 2009, pela www.Dadamusic.in; - Brasil, num tour de 16 datas em 3 meses, tendo tocado no maior festival de música electrónica do país chamado “Universo Paralello”; - Eslováquia em 2007 e no final de Agosto de 2009; - Holanda, pela primeira vez em 2005, no mais representativo festival Internacional de Didgeridoo da Europa, tendo voltado em 2007 para um tour profissional de 12 datas com a Music Reps; - Itália em 2007 no Aclamado Festival Internacional de Didgeridoo “NatiBongo Fest”; - Espanha, onde tem sido frequente o circuito em 2006, 2007 e 2008 no Manani Rock, e ainda no ano de 2007 o Cerka’l Festival. - Universo PAralello Brasil 2010, - SXSW Austin, TExas - USA 2010 - DIDJ festival FRança - 2012 - Airvault International Didgeridoo Festival - França 2013 - Tour 5 cidades na Irlanda 2013 ENGLISH OliveTreeDance is now considered to be one of the most promising bands worldwide away from the pop and rock scene. They've also been abroad, in such different countries as: - India, 2007 and also April 2009, by www.Dadamusic.in; - Brazil, in a three month tour, having played in the biggest electronic music event in that country - "Universo Paralello"; - Slovakia, 2007, and August, 2009; - Netherlands, for the first time in 2005, at Europe's most important international festival of Didgeridoo, coming back in 2007 for a professional tour with Mucic Reps; - Italy, 2007 at Internacional Festival of Didgeridoo, "NatiBongo Fest”; - Spain, having often attended (2006, 2007 and 2008) the Manani Rock. They also played at Cerka’l Festival in 2007. - Universo PAralello Brasil 2010, - SXSW Austin, TExas - USA 2010 - DIDJ festival FRance - 2012 - Airvault International Didgeridoo Festival - France 2013 - Tour 5 cities in Irland 2013 RAÍZES Criado em 2003 por Renato Oliveira (Oliver), o grupo surgiu na sequência da gravação em Liverpool do seu álbum solo intitulado “Deep Inside the Organic”. Depois vieram as jam’s no Andanças em 2005 onde começou o trio com bateria e percussão. Daqui foi um salto para a manifestação de um reportório coeso e ao mesmo tempo excitante. Surgem alguns convites relevantes, como por exemplo, a actuação em directo na TVI na apresentação das “7 Novas Maravilhas do Mundo e Portugal”, a convite da embaixada da Austrália para sua representação. Entretanto, surge o primeiro EP – “Urbano Roots – Energia explosiva na música dance 100% orgânica” pela Optimus Discos. O Album estreia da banda DIDJ DANCE ALL BEAUTY! foi o terceiro disco mais vendido em na semana de 8 março de 2010, segundo a AFP. ROOTS Created in 2003 by Renato Oliveira (Oliver), the group emerged in the following of Liverpool's recording of it's first solo album entitled "Deep Inside the Organic." Then came the jam's in 2005, at "Andanças" Festival, where he started the band with drums and percussion. It was a leap to the manifestation of a cohesive repertoire and at the same time exciting. There will be some important invitations, such as the Australian Embassy invitation for the band to perform live on portuguese television, in the "Seven new wonders of the world and Portugal". Meanwhile, comes the first EP - "Urban Roots - Explosive energy in dance music 100% organic" by Optimus Records. The debut album of OTD - DIDJ DANCE ALL BEAUTY! was the third top seller record in POrtugal in the Week of 8 of March 2010, following the AFP charts.
