Swampcandy Is known for his authentic delta blues influenced songwriting and slide guitar prowess mixed with four on the floor foot drum rhythms. Arthur Buezo was direct support for Cam Cole on his US tour and is known for his own brand of savage folk deeply rooted in the primitive sounds of early Appalachian mountain music driven by banjo, guitar and intricate foot drum patterns.

Swampcandy Biography
Swampcandy is an internationally touring primitive blues influenced Americana entity created and spearheaded by Ruben Dobbs’ aggressive finger-picking and rhythmic style (which often adds up to sounding like more than one guitar) combined with pounding kick drum and other foot driven percussive instruments (representing the presence of a full drum kit) easily fill up the sonic space normally created by a duo or trio. Dobbs’ soulful, passionate vocals are the glue that holds it all together and makes this thing tick weather it's in a solo configuration or a 4 piece band.
Swampcandy was founded by Dobbs in 2007 and functioned with various lineups with Dobbs as the common denominator. Whether its a 20-minute opening slot or a 3-hour headlining gig, the audience receives 110% from the performance, leaving the crowd satisfied yet asking for more.
