About this concert
Tania Doko and James Roche of Bachelor Girl have proven their
enduring, much loved status in Aussie music culture. The double
platinum, Aria award winning debut album featuring hit singles
including ‘Treat Me Good’, ‘Permission To Shine’, and the
international smash ‘Buses and Trains’ - written by James - credited
as the most played Australian composition in the last 25 years. The
formidable coupling of songwriting and band performance excellence
is landmarked by the recent announcement of Tania Doko’s place in
the top 300 of Triple Ms ‘Greatest Singers of All Time’ list.
Bachelor Girl recently completed a successful national double header
tour with Boom Crash Opera and series 2 of the Red Hot Summer Tour with Simple Minds and ICEHOUSE

Bachelor Girl Biography
n 1992, Tania Doko and James Roche formed Bachelor Girl and the duo became one of the most loved Australian acts of the 1990’s and early 2000’s, enjoying Australian and international success in Asia, Scandinavia and the US (including signing with the legendary Clive Davis at Arista Records). Standing out with their exceptional song writing and Tania’s warm, powerful vocal, both PPCA and APRA have reported a massive achievement for the band - their hit single ‘Buses and Trains’ was the most played Australian composition on Australian radio in its first year of release and during the last 25 years overall.
