About this concert
Bring your instrument. Be a Stranger. Join Random Strangers Jam 8-10pm at Shrine Harlem on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month for a fully improvised psychedelic funk rock jam session led by Skylar Hurwitz and his 5-piece band. Come prepared to create new music on the spot - every 5-10 minutes, half the band takes a seat and is replaced by musicians from the audience, the new group of random strangers picks a key and kick off a fresh jam segment. Simply show up or RSVP for a slot at randomstrangersjam.com!
Drums, keys, mics, and a PA/DI are provided, please bring all other instruments.

I enjoyed everything about this event, except that the guitars were too loud when out in the audience. Skylar did a great job hosting and inviting people to play, and I plan to attend again next month. It was a real pleasure to meet so many great musicians.

Random Strangers Jam Biography
Every 5-10 minutes, 2-3 band members take a seat, 2-3 musicians from the audience join the stage, and the new group of random strangers kicks off a fresh fully improvised jam segment! Random Strangers Jam is an open community of funk and rock musicians in NYC organized by former Berklee drummer, Skylar Hurwitz.
Current residency is at Shrine World Music Venue in Harlem.
