It’s funny how that was a global phenomenon that still holds weight, and we see a similar thing when it comes to club music coming out of Philly through DJ Sega and through what was going on with Mad Decent. It shows that Black music and Black culture spans genre. It’s not about the genre itself. It’s about the feeling, the funk, and the soul to it.
