About this concert
Two of the most outstanding singers on the international lyrical scene, the soprano Lisette Oropesa and the tenor Ismael Jordi, will perform a full Zarzuela programme at the Arriaga Theatre on 2nd June. Alongside Rubén Fernández Aguirre on the piano, they will perform popular romances (narrative ballads) and duets from EL CASERÍO, DOÑA FRANCISQUITA, MARINA, CECILIA VALDÉS… in a programme that is bound to delight the audience.

A notable Violetta, her most recent performances of La traviata have been at the METROPOLITAN OPERA, TEATRO REAL, GRAND THEATRE DEL LICEU, TEATO DELL'OPERA DI ROMA, ARENA DI VERONA and the ROYAL OPERA HOUSE. Lisette has also triumphed as LUCIA in Lucia di Lammermoor, KONSTANZE in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, MANON in Massenet’s work, RODELINDA, and QUEEN MARGUERITE in Les Huguenots.
