Tony Andrews

Growing up in western MI, Tony grew up in ‘the business’ having a family history in music dating back to Vaudeville where his musician great grandparents met and later having his grandfather not only play professionally until his passing in big bands but running the local musicians union.
At an early age Tony tried his hands at the Viola, trumpet and guitar throughout his school years finally landing with the guitar in bands like Dover Air Force base rock band Pi (1995-1998) and later Statue Records/Greatland Recording artists BLYSTRE (1998 - 2004) putting our numerous full length albums and EP’s. During this time Tony also did A&R work and learned the craft of studio engineering while working with several bands at Apogee Studios under the Greatland umbrella. Post musician life had him relocated to North Carolina running C&A Media Group and sub companies C&A Booking and Fillament Records until fall of 2012.
After a significant hiatus to concentrate on personal life and raising his two children Tony returned to music in 2016 Building his home studio Dash 9 Studios and starting with the Dash 9 project, a solo Americana/Rock project written, recorded and produced by Tony. Further live acoustic projects would include the Michy & Tony duo (2019), Tony & Katy acoustic duo (2019 - 2022) currently solo performances. Tony stays busy with 70+ shows a year solo. The Dash 9 project has 2 albums out on all platforms with a third in the works!
