As a side person, he’s worked with Fred Hersch’s trio, Melissa Aldana, Seamus Blake/Chris Cheek’s Reed’s Ramble, Marc Copland, Nils Wogram’s Root 70, and more, performing on major stages worldwide—including his favourite, the Village Vanguard. The Band is releasing its debut album “How to Survive a Beheading” – Jochen’s 7th jazz album as a band leader – on November 27, 2026
