Scott Sorkin

A Bay Area Native, Sorkin started playing with bands in Marin County while in high school, before getting a music degree from SJSU. That's where he met and started performing with a crew of creative musicians that have remained cohorts to this day. He started his professional career touring and recording with 1930's jazz band, formed his own long standing quartet, and played in ensembles ranging from traditional jazz to avan-garde, fusion, neo-classical and world. He co-founded a recording studio, where he wrote and produced movie soundtracks, and arranged for and produced artists from around the globe.

While at SJSU, he met and began working with his future wife, Kristen Strom.
