About this concert
Indie-folk artist Riley Pearce is packing his bags, firing up the band WhatsApp chat and bringing them on the road with him around Australia this August to celebrate the release of his Sophomore album ’It’s Your Turn Now’. Having amassed over 100million streams globally across an impressive catalogue of reflective and upbeat acoustic driven folk songs, his new self-produced album, ‘It’s Your Turn Now’  out June 28 (Nettwerk Music Group) is a deep exploration into the human experience and the heightened awareness of all that comes with venturing into parenthood. A heartwarming and emotive collection of songs that dive into themes of friendships, fear, love and uncertainty. His show is an energy unto itself, a show that’s refreshingly born from authenticity and songwriting talent that has seen him support the likes of Teskey Brothers, Leon Bridges, Ziggy Alberts and LifeHouse whilst also seeing him play at the MCG and at international festivals PinkPop (NL) and Latitude Festival (UK).

Riley Pearce Biography

An introspective singer-songwriter, Riley Pearce often writes about his difficulty coping with change and his love-hate relationship with nostalgia. With family spread across the globe and his own stretches of living in a number of different cities, Riley’s lyrics reflect that all too human need for connection. His honest songwriting, and relatable storytelling has resonated both in Australia and overseas, with over 50 million streams to date.

After a big year of touring Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom in 2019, Riley left Perth and returned to live in Melbourne, the city he left before he was old enough to remember it. The move helped him realign his focus, and he fell back in love with making music.

With a new sense of focus and inspiration, Riley has added a different dimension to his sound. A chance-find pedal at a second-hand shop in London and a special Japanese Fender Jaguar owned by his producer Andy Lawson paved the way for Maybe I Can Sleep It Off, Riley’s 2020 EP.
