Doul

Japan artist Doul (pronounced DOWL) is an 19 year old
singer/songwriter/producer, based in Tokyo, Japan. Doul is very
artistic in her approach to style, music and art. She is heavily inspired
by the 80s and 90s, with elements of grunge, electronic pop and indie
rock that is sure to help grow her audience in the US. Furthermore, two
of her favorite artists are Nirvana and Rihanna, which is evident in her
overall style and sound in its own unique way. She is released her
debut EP, One BeyonD, in July 2021, which introduced her to a global
market. The EP features five songs which show off her personality,
including the recently released 16yrs and Howl. Previously, she
released her debut song "Howl" in September 2020; the message of
the song is to "love yourself" and combines an 80s-inspired disco
sound, which Doul self-produced. The song has been added to more
than 3,000 playlists and streamed in more than 90 countries around
the world, and it has even caught the eye of popular American DJ,
songwriter and producer, Diplo. In addition to that, 3 months after her
debut, Doul was selected as Spotify's "Radar: Early Noise 2021," and
she was recently endorsed as an ambassador with Nike Japan.
