About this concert
Critically acclaimed pop-smith mastermind Thomas Walsh (previously known as ‘Pugwash’) is known for his well crafted melodies and arrangements and he’s now back with an astonishing set of songs of classic British Invasion and power pop sounds on his new album ‘The Rest Is History’. First single, ‘A Good Day For Me’, is pop melodic brilliance co-written by Neil Hannon from The Divine Comedy. Catch Thomas in this very intimate setting which will be a vintage pop masterclass for fans of XTC, the Beach Boys, the Beatles and Electric Light Orchestra.

Pugwash Biography
Dublin based band lead by singer, guitarist and songwriter Thomas Walsh. Sounds like The Beatles, ELO, Beachboys, XTC.
Perfectly realised pop/rock songs with emphasis on melody, harmony and musicianship - often featuring highly inventive string and orchestral arrangements.
Pugwash's two most recent releases - Jollity (2005) and 11 Modern Antiquities (2008) received rave reviews in the Irish music press and on the web.
The single 'Nice To Be Nice' received impressive airplay on Irish radio and 'Tinsel & Marzipan' became the bands first top 30 hit at Christmas 2006. All proceeds of this single were donated to the Irish Epilepsy Association.
A fluid line up has included contributions from Dave Gregory (XTC), Neil Hannon (Divine Comedy), Jason Falkner (Jellyfish).
