About this concert
Doors:7pm Show:8pm All Ages Vansire is the chillwave-inspired project of multi-instrumentalists Sam Winemiller and Josh Augustin. After meeting on their high school's drumline they began making music in the summer of 2015. Since then, they have released three albums, two EPs, and one live album as well as a slew of singles in the late 2010s. Their music, inspired by the driftless region of Minnesota and travels across America, features dance-imbued earworms, vintage synthesizers, and ambient soundscapes. After working together remotely during their college years, they moved back to Minnesota and now record and produce all their music by themselves in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Audio issues from the production team unfortunately. Other than that great concert, the boys were very warm and inviting after the show as well

Vansire Biography
Vansire is the project of Josh Augustin and Samuel Winemiller, two high school friends from Minnesota that began recording music together after meeting on their school’s drumline. An unabashedly DIY affair, all of their music is created in basements and bedrooms, self-released to a burgeoning online scene of bedroom pop listeners and creators.
Three years of grassroots hype has seen Vansire grow from a summer side-project to a legitimate musical name with wide-ranging collaborations and multiple releases. April 2018 saw the release of their album Angel Youth. Augustin’s ambient synth washes, Dilla-informed percussive sensibilities and bookish lyricism combine with Winemiller’s sweeping guitar landscapes and warbled, Bibio-esque tones to form a wholly unique sound. Aided by Isaac Winemiller’s easy going funk-infused bass stylings, the music is a sonic reflection of the Midwest’s driftless region which they call home.
