About this concert
NITS is één van de langst bestaande, rusteloze en tegelijkertijd meest creatieve popbands van Europa. Ze vieren hun 50 jarig bestaan met een tournee en het nieuwe album, Tree House Fire dat begin dit jaar verscheen! Een belangrijk deel van hun indrukwekkende geschiedenis is gebaseerd op grote hits als “In The Dutch Mountains”, “J.O.S. Days”, “Adieu Sweet Bahnhof” en “Nescio”. Maar ook de immer verdergaande ontwikkeling van de band maakt de NITS zo levendig. Ieder album vertelt een eigen en nieuw verhaal, zij het Ting of Les Nuits of hun laatste drieluik angst, Knot en NEON. NIT50 wordt een dwaaltocht door deze geschiedenis en een kennismaking met de nieuwe songs van Tree House Fire.

Nits in shape, that is how I experiences this show! We saw them a week earlier in Carré in Amsterdam, where they were great (obviously) but this concert in Brussels was magical. There was energy, fun, improvising, humor... Yes, Nits in shape!

Nits Biography
Nits (formerly The Nits) are a Dutch art rock group, founded in 1974. Their musical style has varied considerably over the years, as has their line-up with the core of Henk Hofstede (the group's lead singer and lyricist), Rob Kloet, drummer, Robert Jan Stips (Supersister, Gruppo Sportivo, Golden Earring), keyboards.
Their biggest hit in The Netherlands was "Nescio" (1983), a tribute to the Dutch author Jan Hendrik Frederik Grönloh. The major hit that brought the band to the attention of an international audience was "In the Dutch Mountains" (1987).
