About this concert
Country For A Cause is back this year benefiting Monroe Carell Jr. Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt and sponsored by Gus Arrendale and Springer Mountain Farms. Hosted once again by T.G. Sheppard & Kelly Lang, this evening of live music will include some of the biggest names in music from throughout the years including Chapel Hart, Lee Greenwood, Crystal Gayle, T. Graham Brown, Lacy J. Dalton, Terri Gibbs, The Kody Norris Show, Mike Farris, John Berry, Moe Bandy, Chad Brock, Sister Sadie, Makenzie Phipps, John McEuen, Mike Farris, Stephanie Quayle, Leona Williams, and more!***Artists subject to change***

My first X seeing Mike live.
When Mike took the stage I noticed he seemed to have an Elvis Presley-like hair cut and his glasses were reminiscent of Elvis Costello. In other words, he seemed to radiate a 'double Elvis' vibe. I wondered if this was a deliberate or unconscious choice, or, if it could just be a product of my imagination. Regardless, I concluded it was an indication that my spouse and I were about to experience an extraordinary live performance...and it was.
Since my first concert in 1966, I've attended lots of shows over the past 58 years and I can say unequivically, Mike's voice is a wonder to behold. He gave us, the audience, an immensely impressive, emotionally rich, and often soul-quickening experience. In other words, this show was a blast. Mike was top notch, start to finish and I suspect he seldom, if ever, gives less that all he's got to give.
Turned out, my double Elvis premonition was spot on.
