À l’origine il y a une rencontre, entre le NAME et un site d’exception du Bassin minier inscrit au patrimoine de l’Unesco : le 9-9bis.
Imaginez à juste 20 minutes de Lille, un terril au bord de l’autoroute A1 annonce le puits 9 et son voisin le 9bis. Ce sont les dernières mines de charbon à avoir fermé dans notre région. Pour le NAME c'est une évidence, puisque le festival fait résonner depuis sa première édition des lieux emblématiques du patrimoine industriel local.
À site d’exception, dancefloor d’exception aux pieds des chevalements. Si la techno est née à Detroit dans le bruit sourd des machineries automobiles en crise, elle revient résonner ici au centre du carreau de la mine, dans le cœur battant de la machine gigantesque qui fait battre le nôtre.

Darlyn Vlys Biography
A charming french look and charismatic sound, inspired by various genres of music and combined with a great love for details. This is what makes Darlyn Vlys unique. While studying filmarts in Montpellier he got more and more fascinated by artists from the electronic music scene. He went to Valencia and created his own sound, which is although tech-house, but rather special due to jazz and latin influences. Darlyn is known as a great producer. No wonder that he was signed by well known labels such as GET PHYSICAL, UPON YOU, AVOTRE, SUARA or KLING KLONG. His latest releases are available on AVOTRE, UPON YOU, GET PHYSICAL, TERMINAL M, REMOTE AREA and SINCOPAT. In addition to his career being a DJ, Darlyn is also working on several projects with fellow colleagues and travels around a lot. A Frenchman on a musical journey around the globe. Dieser französisch charmante Blick, dieser charismatische Sound, inspiriert von verschiedenen Musik-Genres und gepaart mit viel Liebe für Details. Das ist Darlyn Vlys, das macht ihn aus. Schon während seines Studiums für Filmkunst in Montpellier haben ihn Künstler der elektronischen Szene (nachhaltig) fasziniert und beeinflusst. Er ging nach Valencia und kreierte seinen eigenen Sound, der zwar Tech-House ist, aber durch Jazz-und Latin-Einflüsse zu etwas speziellem – hörorganbetörendem – wird. Als Producer ist Darlyn geschätzt und bekannt. Kein Wunder dass ihn Labels wie GET PHYSICAL, UPON YOU, AVOTRE, SUARA oder KLING KLONG releasten. Aktuelle Release gibt es auf AVOTRE, SINCOPAT, GET PHYSICAL, TERMINAL M, und AREA REMOTE. Neben dem DJ-Sein verfolgt Darlyn auch einige Projekte mit befreundeten Kollegen und kommt ziemlich viel rum in der Welt – ein Franzose auf musikalischer Reise um den Globus.
