David Lowery Biography
David Lowery is the rhythm guitarist and chief songwriter of Camper Van Beethoven and Cracker. He has also previously performed with Box O'Laffs, Eugene Chadbourne, FSK and Sparklehorse.
He is also an accomplished producer, having produced albums for such artists as Counting Crows and Sparklehorse.
David has not officially released any solo material, although a Promotional Demo Tape was released in his name 1990 prior to Cracker having a name, with early versions of songs that later appeared on the first Cracker album.
However, David has frequently placed demos of songs on secret websites in his name - final versions of these songs have generally ended up on Camper Van Beethoven or Cracker records. Latterly, some solo songs have appeared on his own MySpace page, with the following description:
"This should be pretty self explanatory. And no, this does not mean Cracker or Camper van beethoven is breaking up. Yes these songs may end up on some sort of solo CD, or even a Cracker or Camper Van Beethoven CD. These are just here for your amusement."
