About this concert
Gate Openings " All gates open at 4:00 p.m., except the Right Field Gate which will remain closed. " Ticket holders are encouraged to enter the ballpark as early as possible. Parking " Please note that there are two events in the Sports Complex on August 2nd. Ticket holders are encouraged to take public transportation. " The parking lots in the Sports Complex will open at staggered times, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Tailgating " Tailgating is permitted only in parking lots south of Pattison Avenue and east of Darien Street (Lots A-G, J-N and P). Two different reviews:
- The band: No surprises there, just Green Day being Green Day. Amazing performance, added bonus of having Dookie and American Idiot played in full, a real treat!
- The organisation/venue: Appalling! The venue was too narrow, too flat (extremely hard to see the stage if you're not in the front rows), there were drink kiosks in the middle of the floor, dividing the crowd in two and compacting people even more. To make matters worse, there was a video wall half through the floor that completely blocked the view to the stage, meaning that there were a lot a people that payed good money to, effectively, see Green Day in a video. Very, very bad!
