Songwriter, Ian Roland, writes and performs unique Roots, Contemporary Folk music, full of heart-strung orchestration and up-close, life-drenched lyrics. Recording with arranger-composer and violinist, Simon Yapp, and other Brighton based musicians, Ian performs live as a soloist and with other line-ups. Ian has supported acts such as Martin Simpson, The Black Feathers, Stick In The Wheel, TV Smith, Robb Johnson, Boo Hewerdine, Robert Vincent, 10cc?s Graham Gouldman, Joshua Ray Walker.

Ian Roland Biography
Songwriter, Ian Roland, and arranger-composer, Simon Yapp, produce unique Roots, Contemporary Folk music, full of heart-strung orchestration and up-close, life-drenched lyrics. They work from Subtown Studios, in Brighton, UK, with other local musicians joining them for sessions and gigs.
Since 2015, when Ian and Simon started performing live as a duo, the group have supported acts such as Martin Simpson, The Black Feathers, Stick In The Wheel, TV Smith, Boo Hewerdine, Robb Johnson, Robert Vincent.
