For many fans, the divide between classic rock and contemporary metal has remained vast, with few bands capable of capturing both the untamed wildness of bygone eras and the focused energy of contemporary metal. MOTHERLOAD are here to bridge that gap! Monstrous riffs and instant choruses arise naturally from a determination to forge well-crafted songs, always striking a balance between musical integrity and big, anthemic rock. The four members combined their collective experience in 2011 to form MOTHERLOAD and immediately received a favourable review from Malcolm Dome in Metal Hammer for their debut EP. 2012 saw persistent gigging, topped off by a momentous appearance at Hard Rock Hell which also garnered rave reviews in the rock and metal press. In 2013, MOTHERLOAD unleashed their debut album ‘Black and Blue’ upon an audience of passionate rock fans who know what they want and have waited patiently to receive it. No gimmicks, no niche. Just hard-hitting hard-rock played with dedication. 2014 sees them hit the studio to record the follow up to “Black and Blue” and join forces with new management joining Rocksector with the release planned for later this year.
