The Functional Idiots

Formed in 1986 in New Paltz, NY by Mike Adair, Mike Gurdin, Doug Beans, Anthony Ferrara and Bruce Gussin. Soon after- Matt Fleming joined, soon after that Bruce left. Stayed like that till around 1992, Doug left to pursue full time gig with Murphy's Law. Tim Shanley joined for about 2 years, and was replaced by a returning Doug. Lineup the same ever since- just somewhat inactive. 1986 we released self produced cassette called - The Functional Idiots. In 1988 we released self produced cassette called In Pursuit of Toast at the Moshmellow Roast. In 1992 we released 2 singles He's Dead Jim with Hurt The Bunny and Toga Party! with Lowdown, In 1993 we contibuted the song- Fagmetal to D.U.M.B. Rock: The Hollywood Tapes, compilation. In 1996 we released self produced cd You Are One.
