Russian station Vostok in Antarctica is the Pole of Cold in the Southern Hemisphere, Verkhoyansk and Oymyakon in Siberia are Poles of Cold in the Northern Hemisphere. The part of the road track in the immediate vicinity of the Pole of Cold in Oymyakon is called the “Road of Bones”.
