DARYL HANCE

Jacksonville, Florida-based singer/guitarist/songwriter Daryl Hance is supporting his latest release, 2024’s Devil’s Millhopper, which has been described as...

“a swamp-goth noir psychedelic blues-holler masterpiece”

Devil’s Millhopper is fiery blend of old-school 1960s and 1970s guitar-driven groove rock-and-roll, phased-out psychedelic soul, and uncut Northeast Florida swamp funk and inland blues

Daryl’s distinctive guitar and slide stylings were a defining component in early Mofro as the original guitarist and long-time songwriting partner of JJ Grey before venturing out on his own back in 2010. Since his departure, he has channeled a more robust and refined evolution of that same greasy guitar goodness into four well-acclaimed pretty stellar independent albums - Hallowed Ground in 2011, Land Of Trembling Earth in 2014, Wild Blue Iris in 2016, and his latest, Devil’s Millhopper, in 2024

Hance’s live shows are packed full of great songs and highly energetic hypnotic guitar grooves with a heavy dose of psychedelic swampy vibes that are a pretty smokin’
good time to be had…
