APPLAUSE - 2014 in a few words… APPLAUSE emerged from the encounter of Nicolas Ly, a Parisian singer and composer, with a quartet from Brussels - Manuel Roland (guitar), Jérémie Mosseray (percussion, programming), Manu Loriaux (bass), and David Picard (keyboards). After a first EP including the number “Lighthouse”, frequently played by Radio Nova, the release of their first album “Where It All Began” (Wagram, 3ème bureau), in the spring of 2011 met with public enthusiasm and media support, and tours in France and Belgium quickly followed. Far from resting on their laurels after this first album, the band set to work again… An electronic dream punctuated by organic impulses, the new tracks, dark and mysterious, wander around between electric guitars and synthesised loops, ecstatic energy and epic melodies. The band’s music touches on the essence of pop, displaying a limpid strength without abandoning a sometimes disarming simplicity. APPLAUSE is paving the way for a future turned toward new horizons, heralded by the release in mid-January 2014 of the video for “Sorry”, the first number to be unveiled from their brand-new production. "Acids", album in progress in 3 steps will be created all along 2014, the 3 CD’s of 4 titles will finally take place in the same object. Acids-part 1 is out since the 29th of March in Belgium and since the 14th of April in France announced by the clip « Wasted Town » in exclusivity for the ”Inrocks” Acids-part 2 will be released in the end of August 2014, Acids-part 3 will complete the trilogy in November 2014.
