Larkin Poe’s new album “Bloom" (out Jan 24, 2025) sees the dynamic sister duo venturing further along on their evolving musical journey with a collection of songs that resonate with introspection, authenticity, and a profound connection to their roots in American music. Produced and largely co-written by Megan, Rebecca, and Tyler Bryant, the album marks a significant evolution for Larkin Poe, reflecting a synergy that extends beyond mere musical partnership. Already hailed for the sincerity of their songcraft, the Lovell sisters now place an even greater spotlight on their gift for storytelling, delving deep into personal narratives with universal themes of self-acceptance and individuality against a backdrop of contemporary blues and rock influences. With their distinctive blend of masterful instrumentation and soulful harmonies, each track unfolds like a chapter, with lyrics that wind deeper and deeper towards the heart of Larkin Poe.

I've seen Springsteen twice, Neil Young 3 times, Paul Simon, Al Jarreau [4th row], the Neville Brothers and numerous other artists great artists through the years. I can honestly say that Larkin Poe/the Lowell Sisters and their impressive supporting Band, is in my top 2 concert experiences EVER [w/ Springsteen in 1981 for The River tour]. Their stellar musicianship and stage presence are phenomenal!! If you ever get a chance to see these amazing Women, don't pass it up. I feel so very fortunate to have seen them at such a nice venue as Big Top!!! Thank You Larkin Poe!!!

I will see them again next time but i feel like itll be a little while since rebeccas gonna be having a little one soon. I know its off topic but yall should tour qith phoebe bridgers or julien baker or torres someday. I know thats a little complicated since all of you as artists are headliner level. Anyways great show im so glad i got to meet yall before the show

The show was good, but missed being great. I think that Rebecca has a very nice voice, and the way that the sound system was set up, it focused almost exclusively on the music and much less on the singing/lyrics. To my mind, the best part of the show was when Larkin Poe played acoustically, and it was possible to hear not just their wonderful musicianship, but also the terrific singing. I like a loud show as much as the next person, but I like to hear the lyrics. I've been to hear the Stones and Bruce Springsteen, and in those situations, the balance between the music and the singing was much better. As for the venue? The Wilbur has been an old, tired venue for years, with uncomfortable seats and limited leg room. That is not Larkin Poe's fault, but it really is not a wonderful place to visit.

I've been wanting to see Larkin Poe (aka Rebecca and Megan Lovell with their band) for quite awhile, and took the Amtrak Surfliner from L.A. to Santa Barbara to catch 'em at S.B.'s Arlington Theatre. I wasn't disappointed; both the Lovell sisters, who began playing bluegrass as Georgia natives in their early teens, are now blues-rock guitar heroes, with Rebecca on electric guitar (she also plays acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo and numerous other instruments) and Megan on lap steel and dobro. I was a little disappointed in the mix; the bass and keyboard sometimes seemed like an indiscriminate background wash, and even the Lovell's solos were sometimes not as upfront as they could/should have been. Still, Rebecca and Megan are impressive musicians and sing together with that chemistry you can get with siblings. Rebecca, in particular, is an excellent front person for the band, and never lets the energy level dip. Best song, in my opinion: "Bad Spell".

I've been following Larkin Poe since seeing them at Bluesapalooza in Mammoth a few years ago. Love their stage presence, guitar work and vocal range. The way they blend blues, country and rock genres is special. The show was great, the opening band, Parker Millsap, got right in and when he joined Rebecca & Megan for an acoustic version of CSN, " Helplessly Hoping" was a show stopper. So glad we made the trip to see the show, looks like they'll be taking some time off to attend to family matters

Followed the sisters for years, first time live. Won’t be the last! Told my wife going in that we would probably be the oldest ones there. Very surprised to see the “ grey hair pack” out in force ! I suspect it’s because Larkin Poe music is what we grew up with. Artists that write/ sing/ play their own music. Not some canned, preprogrammed, soul less mush that passes for music today. Rebecca and Megan breathe their energy into their work ( quite an undertaking now for Rebecca) and it flows from the stage to and through the audience. Entire band is tight and blend well including the softer acoustic set. A rare quality to be great at both a 10 and 3 on the volume knob.

We had an awesome experience at the Ogden Theater. We managed to get spots right up front, which made the night even more memorable. The crowd was relaxed and respectful, and thankfully, the sound levels were perfect—not so loud that it left our ears ringing, but still powerful enough to feel the energy.
Parker Millsap kicked things off with a solid performance full of heart. Then, Larkin Poe took the stage and brought incredible energy. Their set was dynamic, with a great variety in presentation—from gritty blues-rock to more intimate moments, and even a little bluegrass. The band had a strong connection with the audience, and the performance felt both polished and raw in the best way. To top it off, they came back out for an encore—which, from what we’ve heard, isn’t always a guarantee. It was a fantastic way to end an already memorable night.

Yesterday I attended a Larkin Poe concert in London. I specially came from Germany - and not for a second do I regret the time and money spent!
The Lovell sisters were simply incredible. Rebecca worked magic on her acoustic guitar, while Megan's lap steel parts were absolutely breathtaking. Their harmonious vocals and powerful energy created an absolutely unforgettable atmosphere in the venue.
I have many concerts by various famous musicians planned for this year, but after last night's show, I'm absolutely certain: I'm looking forward to the Larkin Poe tour more than anything else. So much so that I'm seriously considering adding a Berlin concert ticket to my existing one in Cologne.

Cambridge Folk Festival offered a wide range of musical entertainment at Cherry Hinton Hall Park over 4 days at the end of July. I was there for Day 3, Saturday 27 July. The weather was warm and sunny, setting very busy with everyone creating a very friendly atmosphere, enjoying the various acts on the 3 stages through the day, with an abundance of excellent catering and bars available. So , having set the scene, as we moved into the evening , I found the ideal spot to fully enjoy and appreciate the awesome talents of Rebecca and Megan Lovell and co, as Larkin Poe delivered another blistering session of southern rock and blues, headlining the main stage late in the day, and perfectly bringing a great days entertainment to a close.

Always a good show and the girls were on form. The set list wasn't quite as dynamic as previous tours, Meg's equipment broke down and the acoustic microphone was too quiet. Support act The Sheepdogs were awesome and rocked hard and full - very impressed!
Venue (O2 Academy Bristol) let's M&G in first with the O2 queue 2nd pushing 'normal' punters back. Security split the main line into 2 so a bunfight after passing metal detectors. Be warned, the M32 closes a lot after showtime for roadworks so plan an extra ½hour if going that way as no detour signs!

My wife and I were blown away. Being fans through CDs, YouTube and their website. We knew we were in for a great show, but this was above anything we could have imagined.
A few weeks before the show I was told that I was (still) cancer free now 1 year. The concert was our celebration of that good news. Their music was one of several artists that helped me on those bad days of anxiety, depression and the effects of my radiation treatments.

Meeting Rebecca and Megan was a very pleasant experience. They are very down to earth and grounded. I bought tickets for my 14 year old daughter, but because of her age she wasn’t allowed to attend the venue for Meet and Greet, or the concert. So Anna their manager ,and Rya
N their tour manager, organised for my daughter to meet them back stage at the Corner hotel in Richmond. Everybody was very warm and inviting. The concert itself was electric.
The tones Rebecca gets from her guitar are amazing., and her voice and presence are commanding. Megan shines on her solo performances, and both girls, and their band ,
are a match for any high ranking musician anywhere in the world. They are a Presence.
A heart felt thank you to them, and their management.

There's something in the water down in Tennessee, or maybe it's the whiskey. Larkin Poe proved that they sure can play, serving up like a shot of Tennessee Whisky, wowing a packed Commodore Ballroom, leaving Vancouver enthralled. They put on an incredibly entertaining concert., rocking & rolling, with a Bluesy undertone, plus a touch of country, & a little bit of gospel thrown in for good measure. It was high energy & fully entertaining from start to finish. For those who were there, many seeing Larkin Poe for the fist time,, we hope we won't have to wait too long to welcome them back

On the 8th of june we could finally see Larkin Poe after a covid delay of 2 years. I saw the 11 years ago on The Cayamo music cruise and they were at the beginning of their carrier, with al more folkish music catalogue. May concerts and years further they were great in Paradiso amsterdam, main stage. Their blues rock show is very energetic with an enthousiastic performance of their front ladies Rebecca and Megan Lovell. Live is great when you can visit this show and enjoy all the positive power.
Wow ! Looking forward to their new album which is been set in november. We heard a couple of new songs and they remain the high quality at ease.

I GUESS THE PEOPLE WHO HAD BOOKED AN EXPENSIVE 'MEET AND GREET,' ( I WAS NOT ONE OF THEM), WHO WERE KEPT WAITING OUTSIDE FOR OVER AN HOUR, WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IMPRESSED BY THE WAY THEY WERE TREATED. AS FOR MYSELF, ( I WAS ON THE BALCONY) WHERE THE BENCH TYPE SEATING WAS VERY HARD ON THE BUM AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS. QUITE UNCOMFORTABLE! LARKIN POE WERE VERY GOOD THROUGHOUT, PLAYING A VERY ENERGETIC SET. REBECCA IS A FINE FRONTSWOMAN FOR THE BAND, SLICK AND CONFIDENT, REALLY GREAT VOCALS AND A FINE GUITARIST. I THINK, AFTER SEEING THEM IN A BAND FORMAT THOUGH, I MIGHT PREFER TO SEE THEM PLAYING ACCOUSTIC, AS I FELT THAT MEGANS GREAT WORK ON THE SLIDE GETS A BIT LOST IN THE BAND SOUND. MY ONLY REAL RESERVATION ABOUT THEIR PERFORMANCE WAS THAT THEY PLAYED MOSTLY ROCK AND VERY LITTLE STRAIGHT BLUES. THEY DID PLAY 'PREACHIN' BLUES' WHICH IS MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE OF THEIR TRACKS. LESS ROCK AND MORE BLUES, PLEASE GIRLS! TO CONCLUDE, A BRILLIANT BAND, AND WORTH THE TWO YEAR WAIT. I SHOULD ALSO MENTION THE SUPPORT, RYAN McMULLAN, WHO DID WELL WITH THE SHORT TIME HE WAS ALLOWED. A GOOD SINGER WITH GOOD SONGS.

Outstanding. Very energetic and engaging. The venue allowed close proximately to the Larkin Poe, especially the VIP package. Being the second time I've seen them I knew I would love their performance but the first time was as a duet and this time was with a band. Pure emotion watching them on stage with all the electronic splendor our hearts could use. 😉. Love this band and will make every effort to see them again. Unfortunately meeting them this time won't register the next time because between now and then, whenever that may be, they will undoubtedly interact with many many hundreds of people at a level above mine. But this concert gave us our time with them both at least this once. I'll cherish that forever.

These 2 sisters are awesome. Both are beautiful and they are also beautiful people. They genuinely love the fans. Rebecca is the outgoing conversationalist with a personality that exudes kindheartedness and a true happiness that is so hard to find these days. Every bit the same wonderful person as her sister, Megan seems the shy, introverted beauty. Maybe not as outgoing and talkative but always ready with a gorgeous smile and at least a kind word or two. Offstage these are two of the sweetest people I have ever had the privilege to meet. Onstage, they have a showmanship beyond their years.
When they are up there playing, they both OWN the atmosphere. From the first note, the crowd is hurled through the night on a wild ride of some of THE best blues-based rock available today. But, to label these girls with one genre is an impossible task.
The cover tunes they play and sing are entrenched with such soul and feeling and a thunderous punch of style all their own that grabs the listener by the throat and does not let go. The blues influenced are the easiest to spot. These young ladies have centered their sound around solid blues. But, there is so much more. There's a whole world of influence in there. One song, I could have sworn Jimmy Page handed them the guitar work on a silver platter. Jim Morrison in all his haunting psychadelia seemed to grace the stage at times. The Allman Brothers, Warren Haynes, Bonnie Raitt, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton are all represented. These girls have somehow combined the last 70 years of music, from Robert Johnson and Son House to U2 and Pink Floyd, and made it a medley of hard-hitting, in-your-face, take charge, powerhouse blues/rock. And probanly the best selling point is the 2 beautiful little packages it is all wrapped up in

I can without a doubt say that the crowd from this show was the loudest I’ve been in. And all from singing every song and cheering Larkin Poe on. I had an awesome time, as always. You know it’s great when your voice is gone from singing every song at the top of your lungs (not so good to listen back on the videos afterwards though *cringe* lol.) along with the band. Even with the technical difficulties and the one “very enthusiastic” fan that had to be pulled away by security, the girls put on one HELL of a show.
