Postmortem Promises について

Postmortem Promises are an underground Deathcore band from Chelmsford, England. Their sound draws influence from such bands as Job For A Cowboy and Despised Icon. They have so far released a single EP, 'We Play Weddings EP', containing the tracks 'Rotting Brains And Carnage', 'Beast Of The Black Forest' and 'Torch The Pigs'. They are signed to the indie label 'Thirty Days Of Night', which was the label Bring Me The Horizon signed to before they signed to Visible Noise. Postmortem Promises have gained wide respect from the UK metal underground, with critics hailing their music from all corners of the UK. Postmortem Promises look to be also gaining a lot of respect from the American scene, with their myspace being bombarded by comments from people from the US praising their work.
Musically, they capitalize on a blend of string skipping, tremolo picking and vicious slow breakdowns, utilising dischords and low scales to create a sound not unlike that of pre-'Genesis' 'Job For A Cowboy' and the 'Syndicated Murders EP' by 'Despised Icon'. The vocalist has an especially wide range of pitch and harmony, moving from the guttural low roars to high blak metal screams. Their lyrical content tends to be quite stereotypical of the genre, depicting scenes of depravity and sadism to outright murder and killing.
