The venue was intimate and the audience was very engaged throughout. The sound was great and Mr. Stamey was spontaneous and vulnerable. The set length was just right and the setlist struck a balance of the old, the new and the obscure. And the ticket price was quite reasonable. More! More! (Just one request--ditch the music stands.)

Born December 6, 1954 in Chapel Hill, NC.
Played with Mitch Easter (producer of R.E.M.) in the Sneakers. His quirky jangle pop band in the beginning of the 80es, called dB's (Decibels) never get the attention the likes of R.E.M. got. Later on he went on as a producer. He's mostly connected to power pop, jangle pop, his name should be noted along the likes of Alex Chilton, Ken Stringfellow, Colin Hay.
