Aleksandra expressed the love for music since the early age- from music kindergarden to the classical piano department in elementary music school, all the way to Jazz singing department of Jazz high school. Throughout her music journey she won many singing competitions and festivals, was soloist on National Television Children's Choir, gave her voice to several jingles and commercials, had many performances and TV appearances with Soul/R&B vocal trio SoulSistas led by Ivana Kotov, wrote music for several theatre plays with the band Lost and Found, performed in many prestige concert halls in her country sharing stages with rare names from Serbian musical encyclopedia of qualities, toured and recorded with famous jazz saxophonist Jovan Maljokovic and his Balkan Salsa Band as well as National Big Band. Studying at Berklee has always been Aleksandra's biggest aspiration and a dream that for many years seemed distant. After 3 years of struggle believing in the dream really took her to living the dream- she enrolled at Berklee in May of 2011 when her music adventure towards new learning experiences, inspiration and mastering crafts has begun. Since in Boston she got herself swimming in many music oceans, elevating her musicianship and exploring hidden secrets of her voice. She discovered magic of Indian Classical and Contemporary music being part of Indian Ensemble, Vasuda Sharma’s Mixed Indian Bag; experienced beauty of circle singing and true artistic connection with Joey Blake's singing tribe ; got addicted to spontaneous composition thanks to Rhiannon which inspired the forming of the vocal group Sound Seekers; got back to her roots with Balkan Ensemble; received so many life lessons at R&B ensembles with Walter Beasley and Jetro da Silva; sang her soul out with Reverence Gospel Choir; shared music with people from all over the world as part of Rhythm of the Universe; got herself swingin’ with jazzy quartet Soul Out; became member of core team of the initiative Sing for Peace at Berklee; went bananas when selected to be a vocalist for the Perfect Pitch Competition.
