Johnny Crash について

Johnny Crash
Playing homage to AC/DC, Johnny Crash joined the ranks of bands such as Rhino Bucket and Dirty Looks in bringing three chord rock to fans worldwide. The band wasn't flashy, but played uncompromising hard rock that would have made Bon Scott proud.
In late 1985 vocalist Vicki James Wright, who had been the front man on two Tokyo Blade albums, left England for the bright lights of Los Angeles. It was there that Wright crossed paths with guitarist Christopher Stewart. Guitarist August Worchell, a childhood friend of Stewart and cohort in WWIII (a band that included future Kingdom Come members), joined the band and quickly brought in another buddy in Andy Rogers (bass). The final piece of the puzzle was Rock City Angels drummer "Punkee" Stephen Adamo.
Within a few short months of gigging the band was offered a recording contract and went to work on Neighbourhood Threat. The debut single "Hey Kid" got minor MTV rotation as Johnny Crash went on the road opening for bands such as Bonham and Motley Crue. However the album was a commercial failure and Worchell, unhappy with the musical direction they were taking, walked away from the band.
A second album was recorded with future Guns N' Roses members Dizzy Reed (guitar) and Matt Sorum (drums) but was shelved by the record label and to this day remains unreleased. Johnny Crash simply disappeared after being dropped. In 1992 Rogers died of a heroin overdose and Worchell resurfaced shortly in American Heartbreak and created a successful tattoo ink company named Skin Candy. Johnny Crash proved to be another excellent but largely ignored sleaze rock band.
