Marcus Fuereder, better known by his stage name Parov Stelar, is one of Austria’s internationally most successful artists. From the art studio to the recording studio, and onto the dance floor with his unique blend of art and beats, Parov Stelar masterfully fuses the realms of music and art, resulting in a magnificent synergy that defies boundaries.

Parov Stelar is a pioneering figure in the genre of 'Electro Swing' and enjoys great demand worldwide. He has delivered over 1000 electrifying live performances as a DJ and with his band, including sold-out shows at prestigious venues like PlayStation Theater in New York, Alexandra Palace in London, and Zenith in Paris. He has graced the stages of major festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza, among many others.

His debut release, the EP 'Kisskiss', and the subsequent album 'Rough Cuts' in 2004, propelled him to immediate international acclaim in the electronic music scene. Parov Stelar's unique sound, innovative approach to music production, and unconventional fusion of genres quickly made him a star in an emerging scene. With his subsequent 10 studio albums, 1 live album and more than 20 EPs he was able to strengthen and even improve his status until today and he became the favorite of a huge fan community. Throughout the years, he has been highly sought after for collaborations and remixes, having worked with notable artists such as Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, Lukas Graham, Marvin Gaye, Bryan Ferry, Klingande, and many more.

Parov Stelar has been honored with 10 Amadeus Austrian Music Awards, including Best Electronic/Dance (7 times), Best Live Act (2 times), and Best Album (1 time). He has also received the Music Moves Europe Talent Award (previously known as the European Border Breakers Award) for his Stelartronic project. Achieving top chart positions in Europe, his tracks "The Sun" in 2018 and "Brass Devil" in 2020 reached No. 1 on the electronic US iTunes charts. The song "All Night" reached Double Platinum status with over 100,000 tracks sold in Italy, and Parov Stelar received Gold Awards for 'All Night' in Germany and for 'The Princess', 'The Art Of Sampling', 'The Demon Diaries', and 'The Burning Spider' in Austria.

The numbers speak volumes about Parov Stelar's success. With 1 million Facebook fans, over 500 million views on YouTube, and more than 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, he ranks among the most accomplished electronic musicians on the internet. His tracks have been featured on over 700 compilations worldwide, including renowned ones like Hotel Costes and Buddha Bar. Additionally, his music has been extensively used in various TV shows, series, movies, and numerous TV ads for prominent brands such as Audi, Bacardi, BMW, Colgate, Cosmopolitan, Courvoisier, Escada, Fiat, Google, Microsoft, Paco Rabanne, Target, Telecom Italia, and Vodafone, to name just a few.

Parov Stelar also studied art and design in his hometown Linz and in Berlin. He started painting even before he became a musician and a producer. Parov Stelar approaches painting as an impulsive reaction, often embracing chance during the digital design phase. The initial computer montages guide the layout or design that he transfers to the canvas, where he skillfully transforms them using traditional oil painting techniques. According to the artist, the painting process often leads to complete transformations of the image. When the painting gazes back at him and he contemplates it, he knows it is complete. Parov Stelar sees painting as a counterbalance to music, providing a tactile contrast to the digital realm. His music and paintings are intertwined in a parallel creative process, mutually nourishing, and inspiring the artist. Art, for him, serves as an indicator of his existence. Descartes' 'cogito ergo sum' becomes 'pingo ergo sum' for Parov Stelar ('I paint, therefore I am').
